Ridgenet Network Group started in July of 2010. Ridgenet was designed to deliver broadband to areas that were unserved. Ridgenet delivered the service via wireless communication equipment consisting of cell towers and wireless broadband devices.

In 2015, Ridgenet opened their first data center which controlled all aspects of the ISP. It later grew to serve customers in the private business sector. Ridgenet also began to host local government data, as well as data storage. This grew the company into the 2-way radio communications realm.

In 2018, Ridgenet launched a sister company, Wilson & Deal Communications, as well as, Ridgenet Public Safety to serve the first responders in vehicle upfitting and 2-way radio services. Today, Ridgenet is now a leader in public safety services and managed IT services for local and state government as a government contractor.

Ridgenet Network Group became operational as a wireless internet service provider in January of 2011, with the first tower at Science Hill, Kentucky.
